Night, Street, Street-Light, Drugstore - Alexander Blok (10/10/1912)

A night, a street, a lamp, a drugstore

A meaningless and dismal light

A quarter century outpours –

It's all the same. No chance to flight.

You'd die and rise anew, begotten.

All would repeat as ever might:

The street, the icy rippled water,

The store, the lamp, the lonely night.

SHOCKING!! Coronal Hole Promts 48-Hour G1 Aurora Storm Watch December 6, 2015

The expected high speed solar wind stream from a large Earth-directed coronal hole has prompted SWPC to issue a G1 geomagnetic storm watch for Sunday and Monday December 6 and 7.

The coronal hole responsible for the watch, CH34, is one of three currently active coronal holes on the visible Solar disk at the moment.

Deep-dielectric charging occurs when energetic electrons penetrate into spacecraft components and result in a buildup of charge within the material.

When the accumulated charge becomes sufficiently high, a discharge or arching can occur.

This discharge can cause anomalous behavior in spacecraft systems and can result is temporary or permanent loss of functionality.
